My first ever International Bear Entry has been chosen as a Nominee in this years 2004 Teddy Golden Awards sponsored by USA Teddy Bear Review Magazine. With over 300 entries, I was so thrilled to receive news that my darling Panda was nominated by the panel of judges. The 2004 Nominees will be featured in the August issue of Teddy Bear Review magazine along with a ballot that readers can use to select the winners of the 2004 Golden Teddy Award. The winners will be announced at a gala banquet held August 28, 2004 , at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in conjunction with the Doll * Teddy Bear Expo, also winners will be announced in the magazine. TVSN LIVE TV SHOWS

For the past 5 years, Lisa has been a regular featured guest on Australian and NZ Cable TV with 'TVSN.' Their longest standing favoured Bear Artist and most requested, who has continuously sold out of all editions offered on each show in record times, to complete a full show, Lisa has to make 8 new editions with 10-15 bears in each edition, totalling at times up to 110 bears. All these bears sell out within the hour, one show and they were gone in 20 minutes, we had to do some extra talking to fill in time and put on a few ads! I once said on 'air', this is like having a Baked Dinner, takes so long to prepare and scoffed down in 10 minutes, hence taking Lisa 3 to 4 months full on going making all their editions and she did it for 5 years straight!

PROFESSIONAL BEAR JUDGE

Lisa was a judge for some years at the prestigious and first ever best known Bear Show in Australia , The Premier Bear Affair (this show has since been sold).

Lisa also is the Main Judge at the TVSN Doll and Bear Shows each year and was the first person to come up with the idea of a CHILDREN'S CATEGORY here in Australia (afterall they are the next Bear Artist generation)! the idea has since been taken on by other wonderful shows around the Country which is great.

I don't really enjoy judging, it's very hard to choose the winners, they are all fabulous and people are most courageous to enter their work for a professional critical analysis. I consider myself a very fair Judge with only positive and constructive comments. I've had no complaints yet!
