| 'The Master Painter', a 26" Hand painted Oil first Proto-Type mohair bear by Lisa Rosenbaum, is a confirmed World Record Price paid for any 'Bear Artist's' piece at auction or privately at an amazing US$17,700.00, equivalent to AUD$24,500.00. 'The Master Painter', went to auction on USA Ebay for 7 day's in November 2003. The previous day, USA Artist, Michelle Lamb of One and Only Bears, also achieved a staggering amount for her award winning bruin Captain Nemo, who finished at USD$15,100.00. These 2 now FAMOUS and wonderful bears were purchased by the same lady and with permission of name release, Mrs Ann Kelly from Ireland .
The Master Painter, was an original idea I came up with in September, 2003, combining my love of Oil paintings into a teddy bear. This has never been attempted before and due to the fact he was the first proto-type and a bear like no other in the world, was most appealing to the competitive bidders from Ireland , Japan , Australia , United Kingdom and America .
